March 2017 Progress Update

It has been a while as Kevin and Nick both worked on different projects which are now both complete and focus is now back on BattleStreets.

Lots of fresh design changes and ideas.  Also a new code structure that we are implementing called ECS (Entity Component System) as well as progress on the SimGame.

Kevin: Bootstrap and World System

I am working on the game bootstrap system and prototype using the Entitas framework (Entity Component System). This should help with code structure and integrating features quicker. I am currently implementing the scene entity streaming systems.

Nick: Game Simulation and Roleplaying

I am currently expanding on the SimGame structure for the Request / Handler system.  Currently HungerRequest with Handlers as been pushed to the master branch.  Next up will be CrimeRequests and CombatRequests as well as Encounters.
